Any TV experts here able to offer some advice on the different technologies, and possibly which brands are most reliable?
We are looking to replace a 5-year old Philips rear-projection 60-inch TV. It's freaking huge and I think the picture quality is beginning to degrade. I want a flat screen but I don't know which is best: Plasma, LCD or LED? This is going in the living room and I think I want at least a 50-inch screen size, maybe up to 65-inch.
We don't watch very much TV, mostly movies from Netflix, some HD shows on cable and lots of college football. I want to get something good that will give us a few years of solid performance. I'd prefer to keep it around $2,000 or so.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
