the rangers season is over...overall vast improvement but the age-old pitching problem reasserts itself...

Grilli and CJ Wilson are both pathetic. That and Washington leaves the damn relievers in too long when it's obvious they're sucking.
 
Wait a minute.....turn the lights back on, at least for now. Angels lost 2 in a row, Rangers won 3 straight and Boston lost last night. They may not make it, but they are playing meaningful games in September.
 
Leave the lights on a day longer... Rangers take the first of three from the lowly last place O's.

Place a sticker next to the switch to "leave it on until further notice" .. The RedSox got their Socks cleaned 12-2 by the other Sox today .. Only 2 behind in WC race now after a 4 game Ranger streak. Stay the frig away from that switch for now.

If the Rangers have to depend on the likes of Kevin Millwood and CJ Wilson, they're doomed. Millwood's blown a 3-run lead today and looks totally spent after 5 innings.
 
Balitimore taking 2 of 3 is a killer. Rangers are not done yet, but they needed to pound a bottom dweller like these guys to keep pace and or make up some ground. Millwood was disappointing to say the least.
 
A sweep at Cleveland and the Rangers will have a good shot IMO. Angels have a pretty brutal schedule coming up, and we've got home series against Seattle and Oakland. Still only 3 back in the wild card as well. I'm not counting them out just yet.
 
Holland needs to be removed from the rotation. His last three starts have been brutal.
 
It's not over. After the needed rainout last night, we are rested and only 2.5 back of the Sox. We are leading in the 4th of Game 1 against the Tribe. We win both ends and we are possibly as close as 1 GB - worst case, 2 GB. There are still three weeks to play... NOTHING IS OVER!!!!!!
 
The Rangers are coming through big time today - won the opener, 11-9, and leading in the second game, 7-0. Brandon tossing a nifty one-hit shutout so far. It would help a lot if the Angels would lose tonight - but it's not the end of the world if they don't. They still have two series against the Yankees and one against the Sawx, not to mention the head-to-head battles yet to come with the Rangers. This can still be won!

Man, oh man... we have back to back dose of the G-Men... Guardado and Grilli... that i'll put fear into the hearts of any potential rally! Christ, our middle relief is pathetic. Guardado is a f-ing train wreck. He is just done. he only is good for one batter anymore and usually at least one run. This game he hit a new low. He managed to throw two pitches to one batter and allowed two runs to score on each pitch. Of course, no outs. I mean, it is getting creative on how he blows holds. We were up 7-0 in this game. This is our chance to stay in this damn thing and this **** happens. Still up 7-5. I never thought I would say it, but I am glad to see CJ... wait he just walked the tying run. Typical.
 
Davis with a 3 run bomb to give us a 5 run lead!!!!! The offense has really bailed out the sad bullpen effort tonight. Neither starter was dominant, but they were both servicable tonight. 21 runs tonight so far... Davis is a different player back from the minors. I find it interesting that it took him going to OKC (and away from Jaramillo) to fix his swing.

11-9 and 10-5 over the lowly tribe tonight and the bullpen made it harder than it had to be. Gawd, I cringe everytime Grilli or Bat Guano-No comes into a game.... Davis saved us. Rangers need BIS focusness to win on Wed.
 
Well, not the prettiest DH sweep in history, but nonetheless a sweep. With Scott on the hill tomorrow afternoon, chances are reasonable for another W. Angels have a very tough stretch in front of them yet - there is still reason to hope for the AL West!

Wasn't watching but updating the score on the phone every once in awhile, saw the lead slipping away and knew Grilli had to have come in. He scares me.
 
What a timely sweep! Praying that the orioles use a little of that mojo they used against us to give BOS a loss tonight. 1.5 GB in Wild Card!!! If Sox lose, then only a single game... this is going down to it.

Feldman is 16-4. Think about that for a second.
 
We got no help tonight. Gotta keep this sweep thing up vs. Mariners and then the big ones vs. Halos next week.
