Turks could solve the Kurdish problem by granting them autonomy or outright independence.

Turkey, Iraq, and Syria could easily grant a territory for the Kurds that would encompass where they live now. That region would be the better for it IMHO.

Much of the Kurdish region contains oil, so you can be sure none of the countries willingly will cede autonomy to them.

Didn't realize Saladin was a Kurd.

Saladin eventually vanquished the Crusaders, but he wasn't a tyrant like most of his ilk. He was a great military leader. He even respected some of the Crusaders, like Richard the Lionheart, and behaved honorably, most of the time.
