Peters gives up a run literally in the first with
a two base throwing error followed by a single.

Texas ties it on a Weis triple and a Felts SF.

Tied at 1 after one inning.
 
TSU goes down in order in the 2nd.

After two outs Etier gets an infield single.
Marlow and Shaw both walk to load the bases.
Then Payon gets a fly ball up in the jet stream
in right that rides over the wall for a grand slam.
Payton with his second homer of the day makes
it 5-1 Texas after 2 innings.
 
TSU gets a walk, but nothing more in the top
of the third.

In College Station Aggy pitcher Stripling has
just thrown a no hitter against San Diego State.
He gives one walk and that is all as Aggy wins 1-0.

Texas in the third Walsh leads off with a double.
He takes third on a wild pitch and scores on a SF
and Texas leads now 6-1 after three.

In Norman Baylor and OU are scoreless in the
top of the 9th.
 
TSU leads off with a single, but a 4-6-3 double play
cleans up the inning as TSU fails to score.

Texas goes in order in the bottom of the 4th.
Texas still leads 6-1 after 4 complete.
 
Curtis comes in to pitch in the 5th and retires the side
in order.

Texas goes in order also and Texas leads 6-1 after
5 innings.
 
With one out Marlow boots a ball for an error, but
Curtis retires the side without any damage.

Silver leads off with a single for Texas in and with
one out Lusson walks, Marlow flies out for the 2nd
out. Pitching change for TSU.

Baylor and OU still scoreless in the bottom of the 10th.

Shaw singles home a run and Payton grounds out.
Texas now leads 7-1 after 6 complete.
 
Thornhill comes in to start the 7th and gives up
a lead off double. Two outs later a single scores
a run, then the side is retired.

Texas leads now 7-2 at stretch time.

It's over in Norman and Baylor's dream of an
undefeated conference season ends as OU
scores a run in the bottom of the 10th and OU
wins 1-0. It did take an unusual play though.
After a lead off single, the next OU batter tries
to sac him over. He pops it up and the Baylor
races to just short of the screen and catches
it. The OU runner tags and goes to second as the
throw was high or he would have been out.
Then a single scored the winning run.
 
In the bottom of the 7th Weis leads off with a single.
A ground ball moves him to second and Felts
singles him home. Pitching change for TSU.

Marlow walks and Eteirs singles home another
run. Lusson singles home another run. Marlow
flies out and Shaw grounds out to end it.

Texas now leads 10-2 after 7 innings.
 
After two outs yet another Texas error scores a
run. A fly ball in the gap in left center falls in.
Payton can field the bounce, then Walsh tries
like three times to pick it up and by the time he does
the batter has circled the bases. It's scored a
triple and an error. A fly ball ends the inning.

Texas leads 10-3 now to the bottom of the 8th.
 
Payton singles and Weis walks, wild pitch put runners on 2nd
and 3rd with two outs for Texas. Then an errror
on TSU scores two more.

Texas now leads 12-3 to the top of the ninth.
 
Milner in to finish it off in the 9th.
Milner retires the side in order and Texas wins
and sweeps the double header.

Final Texas 12-3 over TSU.

It's on to Waco Thursday night to start the
Baylor series, then the next two in Austin.

We will see what we finish in conference and
our seed in the conference tournament.
