Trying to find the name of a type of shirt

I'm trying to figure out if there's a name for the shirt that I saw some guys wearing last night. I've seen them in the past, but now I'm wondering what they're called. I can't post a picture of one because I don't know what to search for.

I'll generally describe it as a medieval peasant shirt that the modern d-bag seems to have adopted. It's a tight fitting t-shirt, but its distinguishing feature is the collar. It's a hybrid of a crew neck and v-neck. Whereas a conventional v-neck makes a smooth tangential transition from the rounded portion to the linear portion, this neck is a crewneck w/ a small (say 3" deep), abrupt v-groove at the front-most point. Sometimes they have little laces you can tie, which looks even more ridiculous.

Does this shirt have a name?

I think you may be talking about a Henley. Most have a few buttons and are long sleeved. But the one I'm linking sounds a lot like the douchebag version you speak of (minus the laces). The best news? It's only $498!

What a deal

I like henleys

X-ray's on the right track with that little man-cleavage-portal number. I don't like henley shirts, but John Varvatos is giving all henleys a bad name with that one. Henleys have buttons so there's probably another name for this thing. I've gotta find the stores that those types of people frequent.

Only $500? That's a steal. Too bad they don't come in burnt orange.
