He still should think twice and speak or tweet once but that was a great gesture. To stand there and shake all 1138 0r whatever the actual number Graduate's hand is pretty amazing I think.
How cool was it for these new officers to shake their CIC's hand?

Wonder how the Dems will spin this act negatively.And we know they will.

Good for Trump. He's doing this part of the job well. This isn't unique to Trump though as I'd wager nearly every POTUS has done the same. Here is a video of Obama at West Point shaking the cadet hands.

Does anyone remember when Bush Jr. gave the commencement speech at the Air Force Academy in 2008? I'm not sure he did this with all cadets or only a subset but he did all kinds of crazy acts that the cadets asked him to do including: chest bump, arm flexing, talking to cadets parent on the cell phone, etc. Bush had some serious fun that day. He's still the POTUS I'd most like to have a beer with, though I disagreed with many of his policies. Fast forward to the 3 minute mark of this video and you'll see George Bush shaking each cadets hands, some hugs and other things like previously mentioned.
