Trump has my vote

I'm still not with Trump, but if anything could convince me this might be it. Agree to throw in Sheila Jackson-Lee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Sarah Palin, and Paul Krugman, and I'll at least come to the table.

why not wait a few weeks to make your final answer? There is still time. Your favorite, Rick Perry, could come and save us all.(then you can bring back your Perry dick pick)

Well we can add another AA celebrity to the list of those leaving our country.
this is Raven Symone, someone off the View.
"
“My confession for this election is if any Republican gets nominated, I’m gonna move to Canada with my entire family,” Raven-Symoné said.

“Is that bad?”

Part of the crowd in the studio applauded."

I guess she will be leaving soon after the GOP convention, ya know beating all the people who have to wait until the actual election.
I bet Canada can't wait.:rolleyes1:

Promises, promises. I heard the same BS from the Hollywood elites when GWB was elected. I can't think of any that followed through. It is an interesting glimpse into the delusional nature of the liberal celebrity mind. Do they really believe that they are so important to the US that the mere threat of leaving it will cause voters to immediately change their minds? Unbelievable.

Well IIRC most of the Hwood stars at least said they would leave if Bush was elected unlike the stupid black doofusette who will leave if Trump is nominated

There are plenty of nice places to live in the world. Plenty of places to prosper economically and live a good life. Is it really that crazy to not want to live under a president that stumbles on a question about disavowing support from David Duke?

It's not crazy, Ran. However, this kind of silly talk gets thrown around every election. It's an attention-grabbing ploy by drama queens with delusions of grandeur.

How many actually carry out the threat? I can't think of any. Sharpton sure as hell won't. He makes way too much money to leave, and his racket won't work anywhere else.

Yes, that is exactly what they think.

It's impossible for me to imagine a US entertainment landscape without Raven-Symoné. Please don't run her out of the country. We can only survive so long on That's so Raven reruns.

?
OK I didn't watch much yesterday but I thought Trump did pretty clearly disavowed Duke's endorsement.

When I have time I will search for any info.

A politician should NEVER have to disavow support.

And, do we really WANT an elected official who is going to kowtow to the whims of the media and disavow something just because it hurt someone's delicate fee-fees?

I don't particularly care who the Klan or David Duke endorses. It doesn't impact my vote. However, what I think is noteworthy is that Trump doesn't hesitate to call other people "losers," "morons," etc. However, when David Duke and the Klan come up in the discussion he suddenly gets cautious and remarkably non-judgmental.

threats to leave the country if candidate x is elected fall in the category of rhetorical hyperbole. They are not meant to be taken literally, but as a way of saying the country will not be as good a place if said candidate is elected. Sort of like Trump saying he will build a wall along the border with Mexico. He doesn't mean it literally, just figuratively. By the way, can you imagine what Santa Elena Canyon would look like if there was a ten foot wall all along the Rio Grande?

I mean this as no insult to Mr. Trump, whose wife would make the most entertaining First Lady in history. I can hardly wait for the topless swimsuit pictures to start getting splashed around.

Bloomberg tweeted out some survey that 25% of fed employees would quit
As a former fed employee, I can tell you this is complete baloney
People do not walking away from good jobs
So f'n retarded

Nope, they won't. The benefits, pay, and work schedules are far too cushy.

Kristol looks like he's showing how predictions work when you keep taking the temperature of the same people over and over again. I can see why you'd think the Trump appeal is fading when talking to a bunch of people who never got it to begin with.

Now that sounds like a terrific start! It would certainly help the budget.

LOL
Some time back (like maybe a couple decades), there was an idea about a 10% across the board cut
Everything - salaries (maybe more for Congress/pres), contracts, COLA increases. Errthing. And errrbody
Good start?

I think most would agree with limits of salaries for Congress/Pres., especially because we know they make a mint when leaving their roles to become lobbyists.

The average fed employee isn't well paid though.

That's bumper sticker fodder. People like to talk about cutting congressional pay and benefits, but that wouldn't even make a dent in the budget deficit. It's chump change.

That's all a matter of opinion, but most federal employees do pretty well if you look at the the complete picture and how much time off they get. And of course if you can hustle an overseas gig (like my wife did), you get a pretty generous housing allowance in addition to your pay.

Husker
I am pretty sure I read that the salaries/ benefits package of fed workers were higher than private sector comparable occupations.
Private sector pay is stagnant or dropping. Fed worker get step pay increases pretty frequently not to mention promotions,

I saw this morning that Miley Cyrus has added her name to those would leave the US if Trump is elected. It would be getting pretty dang enticing to vote Trump if I believed any of these self-important fools.
