True Blood returns Sunday

I'm watching season one on dvd right now and should finish up Saturday just in time to start season two on Sunday.

I'm only 4 episodes in but so far I'm liking it. I think the "vampire rules" established in any vampire story be it book or movie make or break it for me. With one exception I'm on board with what they've done so far in that respect.
 
Oh, I know he started watching it with the hope of seeing AP's tits which he did and was extremely happy.

The people that made the intro to True Blood also did Dexter, which I don't think ever changed music

Why would they change the song?

The opening sequence scares the **** out of me. The fox decaying and and the crocodile and the river baptism. Yikes!
 
I don't like where they are going w/ sookies brothers character. I liked him when he was a beer drinking/*** chasing man *****. Now they have him as some vampire hating christian
 
Some of the worst acting I've seen in an HBO series. True Blood makes Hayden Christensen look like an Oscar award winning actor.
 
AP is doing a really good job as Sookie. In the later books, Sookie gets a lot more backbone, and I am hoping they show that. Sookie in the books is no wilting flower. She is headstrong. She is a great character and very, very normal, at least as much as one can be in the Charlaine Harris/Vamp world.

I like that the series is now a complete departure from the books. I really have no idea what is going to happen next.

That being said, I am ready for more Eric in this season. He is one of my favorites. Also, I hope they keep Lafayette around because, while in the books, he was very, very minor and they killed him off, he is AWESOME on the show.

I guess Lafayette's supposed demise was premature. I'm glad b/c his character is awesome.

AP looks ALLSOME in this series. I agree about the brother's character. That storyline looks destined for a trainwreck, if it's not already.
 
IMO, Jason is one of my least favorite characters. The other character I am not a fan of is Tara, but she does have her moments, so I am hoping they improve her story lines.

Eggs is an interesting character, and the Tara/Eggs storyline is MASSIVELY different than the books.
 
why would a vampire need to highlight their hair? They are dead.

Vampires can be vain, too.

I am guessing, it is for the backstory on how Eric, the 1,000 Viking Vampire, suddenly has shorter hair this season.

Remember, vampire hair grows back over night, so maybe they are saying his hair burned off.

Who knows!
