Troops leave Iraq

Finally!!!!!

I think we will look back at this war as a complete and utter waste of time, money, and resources. We did oust one dictator, yes. However I doubt we will end up with a openly democratic government there in the end and you have to wonder if we only helped strengthen Iran's presence in the region.

The USA shined our light of democracy on that area of the world with how we treated prisoners and citizens who had not had any due process. Abu-Ghraib probably created more terrorists than we ever killed there. The initial coalition really became an US force after 08. And really only the U.K. had a large presence of troops there besides the U.S. This was clearly a U.S. invasion and occupation with some help from other countries.

I am glad it is over and hope that Iraq can protect itself from all the threats in the region. I also hope that we can now scale down the size of our military a bit and cut that part of the budget.

After a couple trillion $$'s down the drain, 4,500 troops killed, 35,000 maimed and wounded, the madness is over. Thank you President Obama for getting this done even over the objections and whining of the clowns like McCain and the repub presidential candidates.

God Bless all our men and women in uniform!

Lot's of convenient liberal talking points dropped here in record time. Congratulations guys. It is always easier than thinking.

Relax guys,

We have the world's largest embassy in Iraq. I seriously doubt our presence there is going to be diminished. In number of soldiers, yes. But in actual political influence? I doubt it.
