Back in March or so I put together my list of prospects based on the film I've seen. I thought it would be interested to go back and see what was right/wrong/silly. Here's the list...
(1) Andrew Luck—QB.
(2) Stephen Good—OL
(3) JB Schugarts—OL
(4) Justin Johnson—RB
(5) Sam McGuffie—RB
(6) Chancey Agahayere—DE
(7) RJ Washington—DE
(8) Daryl Stonum—WR
(9) Jeremy Hills—RB
(10) David Snow--OL
(11) Ben Habren—OL
(12) Dravannti Johnson—LB
(13) Jarvis Humphrey--DT
(14) Dan Buckner—WR
(15) Jermie Calhoun—RB
(16) Rod Davis—DT
(17) Joseph Ibiloye—S
(18) Tommy Dorman—QB
(19) DJ Monroe—CB
(20) Derrick Hall--ATH
My initial impression is that this list highlights the problem of going off of video, mainly that you only see a certain number of plays and that anyone can look like a star on highlight reels. And that DBs are always going to be short-changed since some of their best work (blanketing a receiver) never makes it to the tape since the QB throws the ball elsewhere.
I think this is why I have Monroe and Williams (who I had between 21-25) too low. Ibolye, because he plays closer to the line of scrimmage, is probably ranked appropriately.
I'm shocked how far Justin Johnson has dropped and I'm assuming it has to be the result of off-the-field issues as his production has continued to be stellar as a RB (2000 yds, 10+ ypc).
Dorman may be a bit too high, probably more like #28 than #18, but the kid was the 2nd best QB whose film I had seen. WOuld have liked to seen greater production as a senior.
Dranvannti Johnson has also dropped a bunch, which I think is a product of him being a bit of a tweener. I think he'll be a fine WDE at 245 pounds or so.
