trimming peach and maple and pecan trees

is this kosher during the summer? like right now if i spray sealant on the scars?

I've always heard you should only trim trees in the late fall or winter when the tree is dormant.

I do know it's important to make sure your saw is clean (to prevent spread of disease). And sharp, you want clean, neat cuts.
