Trap Game or Tied For First, Neither or Both?

What I am getting at is just like Kansas was not likely to go undefeated for the entire conference schedule one would think that TCU is not likely to go without a win in it.

Only our friends from the Brazos Valley managed to pull off a winless conference campaign back in 04-05. That got Melvin Watkins fired brought in Billy Clyde Gillespi for a brief golden era.

Also Baylor, given up for dead went into Stillwater and handed OSU it's second consecutive home conference loss and the Pokes are in a tailspin.

Baylor has Kansas at home tonight and a win could put them back in the NCAA race with a another win over a top ten team.
It's probably their last chance or they are NIT bound it seems.

We are short handed without Felix and on the road in Fort Worth. Stranger things have happened as we all know even in this season. If we can avoid the upset and Baylor which has the lenth that bothers Kansas, just like Texas did, can win in Waco we would tie Kansas for first.

That would really put everything up for grabs in a conference that has had a lot of strange happening this season. Nothing left to do but tune in for another chapter of "As The Big 12 Basketball Season Turns."

I was so damn scared of yesterday's game. Classic trap game. And we had Jevan missing too. There was a high chance for an upset and it almost went that way. Big sigh of relief once it was done. We just couldn't afford to drop that game of we wanted to keep our RPI up. Glad that we somehow got out of there with a win.

Not yet tied for first, but WVU just helped give a smidgen of breathing room between the Horns and OU, beating OU in OT.

OU and WVU now both tied for 3rd at 6-4, Texas all alone in 2nd at 7-2, KU on top at 8-1.

Complete Big XII standings as of Wed night (2/5):

Kansas 8-1
Texas 7-2
Oklahoma 6-4
West Virginia 6-4
Iowa State 5-4
Kansas State 5-4
Oklahoma State 4-5
Texas Tech 3-6
Baylor 2-7
TCU 0-9

Next three games for KU, UT, OU, WVU:

KU
--------
WVU
@KSU
TCU

UT
--------
@KSU
OSU
WVU

OU
--------
BU
TT
@OSU

WVU
--------
@KU
ISU
@UT

KU and OU have the easiiest next 3, UT the next easiest, though the Horns could easily lose @KSU and at home to OSU and WVU (WVU is on a roll, and HuggyBear is a good coach).

WVU has a tough next 3.

At probable worst case, Horns would still be around 3rtd place in the Big XII, and then face @ISU and @KU, but finish with 4 games that should be Ws: BU, @OU, TCU, @TT.
