Transition lenses

I have them and like them. They work great outside. They darken depending on how bright it is outside, so they could be totally black on a sunny day, or just a slight tint on an overcast day. Bad part is they don't really work when you are in a car as the uv rays that cause them to darken bounce off the winshield. I usually drive around with my sunroof open to let the uv's in

. I do think they are worth it though, as I don't think they add that much cost to the lense, and I don't have to carry sunglasses around with me. Someday I will get prescription sunglasses for the car, but they cost so much.

Thanks for the feedback. I got a freaking expensive pair of glasses for a gift and the lenses with the transitions and what not topped $300 by themselves!

So far, so good though.

There ability to darker is also affected by temperture. The colder it is, the better they work. Hot Texas days not as good...they are not necessarily a replacement for a good pair of sunglasses. For sun, get a good polarized pair.
