Transgender Student Wins Third Place in Track Meet

Wait til they start stealing schollies at the college level
The cottage industry known as Title IX already hard at work on this sticky issue

... Which Ivy League School will be the first to offer her a woman's athletic scholarship? ....

Harvard has already done it, but in reverse. Female swimmer (good enough to get a womens swim team schollie from Harvard) who lives as a male, and who asked to be switched to the male swim team. They let her of course.

If you're actually a dude but finish third against a bunch of girls, how is that something to be proud of?

This is silly but not troubling to me because she has no advantage. It is troubling in the other direction.

Reminds me of a cartoon from the 1970s about a woman in professional baseball. Manager was telling reporters, "she can't hit much, can't field, but she takes on hell of a shower." I am honestly very much in tune with those who don't want to undress around biologically opposite sex persons, no matter their frame of mind. Again, we can't overlook that male hormones and male frame size are a significant advantage in many sports. I don't think we should make Chazz Bono pee with the girls, but I don't think Caitlyn Jenner should compete in senior Olympics against biological females either.\

I wonder about people who are obsessed with the transgender issue . . . I'll support any choice you make, Clean. You're among friends.

If you watch the vid JoeFan provided you will see Harvard "recruited" her to the women's team but she will swim for the men's team next year.
Perhaps it is not an athletic schollie but it seems Harvard does recruit and maybe they gave her an academic scholarship?Just a word game by Ivy League schools?

So, she received an academic scholarship. It's a stupid example, IMHO. Most of us don't care if a woman can compete against men. Good for her. I think we could all agree that boys being on the womens team generally give the boy an unfair advantage.

You'd think so, except that the PC crazies seem to want it to work as if a magical transformation has taken place.

There is already a case ruling in favor of Renee Richards, transgender pro tennis player from the 70s. She successfully sued the US tennis Assoc. for discrimination. She was allowed to play in women's events.

From Wikipedia:

On August 16, 1977, Judge Alfred M. Ascione found in Richards' favor. He ruled: "This person is now a female" and that requiring Richards to pass the Barr body test was "grossly unfair, discriminatory and inequitable, and a violation of her rights."[4][17] He further ruled that the USTA intentionally discriminated against Richards, and granted Richards an injunction against the USTA and the USOC, allowing her to play in the US Open.[4][6] Richards lost to Virginia Wade in the first round of the singles competition, but made it to the finals in doubles.[3][6][15]

In Renee Richards defense, I think she went "all the way" with sex reassignment surgery. There was no going back.

Maybe we should stop referring to "men" and "women".

Dude, Invaginated Americans and non-Invaginated Americans is the preferred nomenclature.

If we have Invaginated American sports teams the test for joining up becomes as simple as it used to be before the freaks and cross dressers took over.

Well I, for one, am super stoked that the freaks and cross dressers have taken over as you say. Soon all we'll need Clean and Sangre for is their massive contributions to the tax rolls.

Renee was the only person in the history of Wimbledon to enter the mixed doubles by herself. Sorry.

She is on artificial testosterone treatment while swimming for the men's team, which raises some interesting PED questions.

Harvard offers athletic scholarships?

No, but they offer athletes alot of financial aid which is "need based." For many of their athletes, the aid works functionally as an athletic schollie. Harvard has a robust athletics program with 21 men’s and 20 women’s varsity + numerous junior varsity and club teams. They claim they have "more teams competing at the intercollegiate level than any other institution in the United States."

Are you suggesting the freaks and cross dressers have not taken over the ongoing current political discourse?
I stop paying attention at "freaks and cross dressers".
What I do believe is this: If you came across a transgender person being attacked, you would provide aid and stop the attack. If you shared a meal with that person and learned their story, you would never again use the terms you use now in such a flippant way.

Actually freak is used by many gay people to describe themselves or at least among the gay people I know here usually in addition to other imaginative explicit terms many might think pejorative but it may be like the term n****r. If you are one you can use it but if you are not then it is a slur

Isn't separate inherently unequal?

Yes but since biology is inherently unequal, I think all we can do is make things as fair as possible. And combining all teams into one at all levels definitely isn't fair. It would probably discourage most middle school and high school girls from ever playing sports again.
