What is this I hear about "trainers" working with elite High School recruits and receiving money from schools to steer players their way?

How is that not old SWC illegal?

"The street agent is a new twist on the cheating game. In the past, if a recruit was for sale, it was because the recruit (or his family) put him out there for sale. With street agents involved, a recruit might be for sale and not even know it."

A quick search of recruiting sites doesn't show any interest in Bell by Texas and no offer. Bell was recruited to blow u by Josh Heupel and apparently didn't even visit anywhere else.

Sorry to dispute, but if Bell was offered up by a street agent with his hand out, I believe Mack would slam the door in his face...ou would fill up that hand.

". . . however i'm sure . . ."

pot-dog, that is just your speculation, which isn't worth one penny more than my speculation or anybody's speculation.

what isn't speculation - but is matter of record - is what scipio said. go back and read that and mull its implications.

if the recruiting services were all that hot, colt mccoy and sam bradford would have been five-star recruits, not three-star.
