Trader Vic's - Dallas

It seems to have reopened at the original location, now Hotel Palomar...Has anyone been to it recently or back in the day? What's the rub on this place in general and the Dallas location? Expensive? Trendy or casual?

I'd be curious about it myself. According to this, it's business casual. I'd have a hard time not wearing an aloha shirt or something. I've always wanted to try a Trader Vic's out. Mmm, mai tai.

EDIT: Found the menu for their S.F. location. Expensive, but no more than I would expect. I'd expect Dallas would be similar.

I've eaten at the SF location. One word: overrated.

I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada there. His hair was perfect.

I always used to get a kick out of the name of the hotel that succeeded the Hilton Inn there on the corner.

Whoever acquired it changed the name by throwing a sheet with a "P" on it over the "N", so that it was the "Hiltop Inn".

I've seen a Ramada Inn rebranded to an Amadar Inn. Almost as good.
