Horror and hush-up in Twin Falls, Idaho

Something wicked happened in Idaho’s rural Magic Valley. The evil has been compounded by politicians, media and special interest groups doing their damnedest to suppress the story and quell a righteous citizen rebellion.

On June 7, a brief news item appeared on local Twin Falls, Idaho-based KMVT about a “reported sexual assault that possibly occurred near the Fawnbrook Apartments” five days earlier. Unconfirmed accounts of the alleged crime on conservative-leaning websites, plus reports from area members of anti-jihad activist Brigitte Gabriel’s Act for America group and longtime watchdog Ann Corcoran’s Refugee Resettlement Watch blog, culminated in coverage on the powerhouse Drudge Report.

The social media groundswell, untethered from the constraints of political correctness, forced government authorities to respond.

Police and the local prosecutor’s office grudgingly confirmed that an investigation had begun into the incident. The victim: A mentally disabled 5-year-old girl. The alleged perpetrators: Three boys, ages 7, 10 and 14, from Sudanese and Iraqi immigrant families (predominantly Muslim) who have been in the country for less than two years — all but confirming that they are refugees.

What happened? The case is under seal because it involves minors, but prosecutor Grant Loebs said there is videotape of the alleged sexual assault (a fact which local activists first divulged). Two of the boys are in custody. It’s not clear what happened to the third.

Here’s the sickening thing: The people who should have been asking tough questions — like, you know, mainstream journalists — have spent more time attacking local whistleblowers and bloggers than they have spent demanding answers and holding public officials accountable.

Why? Consider the backdrop. Residents in Twin Falls have been worried about the impact of an increasing influx of refugees, many from jihad-coddling countries, over the past several years. Their concerns about crime, welfare, health care, and schools echo those of communities across the country who are bearing the coercive brunt of Beltway bleeding hearts’ refugee resettlement policies enacted in a shroud of secrecy.

Members of the Twin Falls City Council smugly likened refugee resettlement critics to “white supremacists.” Regional newspapers including the Idaho Statesman and the Spokane Spokesman-Review rushed to discredit the on-scene reporting of internet writers such as Leo Hohmann, who had interviewed a witness to the crime for World Net Daily.

“Jolene Payne, an 89-year-old retired nurse who lives at the complex” told Hohmann that she spotted one of the boys “taking pictures with a camera” outside the apartment complex’s laundry room. She went inside and found the 5-year-old naked with two of the younger boys naked standing over her. “The worst thing was the way they peed all over her clothes,” she recounted.

Pro-mass immigration advocates may not like the sources of some of the original reporting that forced the case into the sunlight, but the watchdogs got more right than wrong. These critics now have Twin Falls’ political leaders sputtering to cover their backsides and police brass defending themselves against explosive charges that they dragged their feet.

Instead, the “professional journalists” dwelt on a few early factual errors about whether the boys were from Syria and whether a knife was used — and filled their dismissive articles with “can’t we all just get along” propaganda from refugee resettlement advocates and contractors with vested financial interests in the game.

The callousness of local officials and indifference of local and national media reminds me very much of an international incident that went viral on YouTube earlier this year in the eastern German town of Bad Schlema — located in a region overrun by Muslim refugees.

A concerned grandfather whose granddaughter under the age of 10 was sexually harassed by Muslim migrants protested to mayor Jens Muller. In response to his plea for help, Muller told the elderly man to direct his family to “not walk in areas” where refugees would be.

“Just don’t provoke them and don’t walk in those areas.”

The grandfather lamented at the public meeting: “You’re not allowed to walk in your own city anymore.”

To which the jaded mayor replied: “This is the way it is.”

Thank goodness there are Americans still fighting against the collective shrug of sovereignty surrender. Louder, please.

The September 11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda on the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The attacks consisted of suicide attacks used to target symbolic U.S. landmarks.

Bin Laden: "Terrorism against America deserves to be praised because it was a response to injustice, aimed at forcing America to stop its support for Israel, which kills our people. ... We say that the end of the United States is imminent, whether Bin Laden or his followers are alive or dead, for the awakening of the Muslim umma (nation) has occurred"

The attacks resulted in the deaths of 2,996 people and the injuries of 6,000+ others. The death toll included 265 on the four planes (from which there were no survivors), 2,606 in the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 at the Pentagon. Nearly all of those who perished were civilians with the exceptions of 343 firefighters, 72 law enforcement officers, 55 military personnel, and the 19 terrorists who died in the attacks.

I had a discussion in the "Germany" thread about whether Muslim atrocities in the U.S. could be covered up as they are in Germany. Certainly Twin Falls is nothing of the magnitude of the mass molesting of women that happened around New Year's Eve in Germany, but still the U.S. press/government is downplaying these incidents as Michelle Malkin's article points out. Whistleblowers are racists and Islamophobes. The American Left is using all the same tactics deployed in Germany.

It's also interesting to me that these Middle Eastern refugees are being hidden away in little places like Twin Falls, Idaho. You'd think they'd send them to Chicago or NY (or Detroit for God's sake) where they wouldn't stick out so much. My old home town, Amarillo, Texas, is bursting at the seams with immigrants. Is this the Government's way of bring multi-culturism to the white bread part of the country? This isn't a new tactic by any means Bill Clinton moved 1500 Somolians to some little, all white town of 3,000 people in Maine back in the 90s.

Mr. Obama's impeccable timing was in full feather this week. No sooner had he uttered the words ISIS is "contained" and "not gaining strength" than the world watched in horror as Paris bled.

Closer to home, the news is also ominous.

first load of 10,000 Syrian refugees arrived in the U.S., where they will be resettled into 180 unsuspecting U.S. communities.

Coincidentally one of the Paris suicide bombers had a Syrian passport and used the refugee crisis to enter Europe.

There is no question that ISIS is using the refugee crisis and a feckless (or malicious) administration policy to smuggle terrorists into the country.

Where are the Syrian refugees and/or the ISIS terrorists being relocated? The pathetic stooges at The New York Times were kind enough to publish a detailed map (click on the map to explodify).

The Times goes on to explain that:

To ease integration [Ed: and prevent assimilation], Syrian refugees are placed in communities where there are other Syrian immigrants.

More than 150,000 Syrians already live in the United States, according to census figures, and refugees who have relatives in the country are likely to be resettled with or near them. Those who do not have family in the United States are placed where jobs are more plentiful and the cost of housing is low.

Refugees receive help finding work and housing, but they are expected to become self-sufficient within a year. The agencies in charge of resettlement take into account how earlier waves of refugees often assist new arrivals with the moving process, with food and with explanations about the United States.
What could go wrong?

On December 2, 2015, 14 people were killed and 22 were seriously injured in a terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, which consisted of a mass shooting and an attempted bombing. The perpetrators, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, a married couple living in the city of Redlands, targeted a San Bernardino County Department of Public Health training event and Christmas party, of about 80 employees, in a rented banquet room. Farook was an American-born U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent, who worked as a health department employee. Malik was a Pakistani-born lawful permanent resident of the United States.

After the shooting, the couple fled in a rented sport utility vehicle (SUV). Four hours later, police pursued their vehicle and killed them in a shootout. On December 3, 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) opened a counter-terrorism investigation. On December 6, 2015, in a prime-time address delivered from the Oval Office, President Barack Obama defined the shooting as an act of terrorism.

According to FBI Director James B. Comey, the FBI's investigation revealed that the perpetrators were "homegrown violent extremists" inspired by foreign terrorist groups. They were not directed by such groups and were not part of any terrorist cell or network. FBI investigators have said that Farook and Malik had become radicalized over several years prior to the attack, consuming "poison on the internet" and expressing a commitment to jihadism and martyrdom in private messages to each other. Farook and Malik had traveled to Saudi Arabia in the years before the attack. The couple had amassed a large stockpile of weapons, ammunition, and bomb-making equipment in their home.

?So the refugees are supposed to become self sufficient in a year?

So why are they eligible for Food stamps (SNAP) for 7 years?
from The Immigration Law Center web site
"All refugees during their first seven years in the U.S.
Refugees are eligible for several other nutritional assistance programs to the same extent as citizens: emergency food assistance; school breakfasts and lunches; summer food service and child care food programs; the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program; the Commodity Supplemental Food, Homeless Children Nutrition, and Special Milk Programs; and the Nutrition Program for the Elderly.

How about SSI? Can refugees get SSI?
"All refugees during their first seven years in the U.S. During their first seven years in the U.S., low-income refugees are eligible for SSI under the same rules as native-born citizens. "

What about TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) is the program enacted on August 22, 1996. "
Why yes, yes refugees can get TANF. But darn it is only good for 5 years. Oh wait it says at the website that most states extend it.

What about medical care? SCHIP and Medicaid. Check
there are other benefits offered and don't forget we have to teach the children in their language.

all this is on top of the 20K WE spend to get them here.
A poster in another thread asked why anyone would go to the trouble of coming as a refugee when they can just fake a passport or walk across.
maybe this explains it.

Can someone remind me why we would bring in all these refugees and not help them on their own land? Really we all know that Islam is a peaceful religion.................until they are not.

Maybe they want to increase the gap between the wealthy and the poor to strengthen their argument about income disparity.

The only reason that makes any sense....VOTES! They may turn the country into Venezuela, but they will have the power over the poor.
