Tracking Kat AG this season

AG is fifth in career blocks with 162 entering her junior year. Her 102 blocks last season are the best ever by a Texas player. By the time she leaves after two more years, she should shatter the career block mark of 289 set by Ellen Bayer in 1986-1990. She has an excellent shot to end up in 3rd place in career blocks after this season and possibly move into second with another year like last season.

Kat is will leave her mark in the Texas record books, most prominently in the 3pt categories. She has the best shooting percentage in a season for 3pters with her .472 last season. It’s quite likely that she will end up as the only four time player in the top 15 in 3pters made in a season. It is unlikely that Kat will surpass Danielle Viglione’s 293 career made 3s. Kat’s career total made 3’s of 164 entering this season does leave her within range of second place Jamie Carey’s 193.

Jamie being in 2nd place is pretty impressive especially since she didn't play 4 years at Texas.

Especially when you consider that she played all three seasons with Heather Schreiber who is third in that category.

That was a pretty good outside shooting combo.

Man I miss Heather Schreiber. Maybe the best jack-of-all-trades (jill-of-all-trades?) female athlete Texas has had in a while considering she could play both wing and post well, score effecitvely spot-up, drives, or post moves, was a great defender especially on the perimeter, and beyond all that was a decent volleyball player as well.
