I do think we will have a slight letdown, partially due to all of the confidence that we're in the tournament. I still think we beat Tech, though.

A&M is about as hot as you can get, but Baylor and Oklahoma are ice cold. I think the OK State, KSU or A&M wins the tourney.

If you have been reading Coach G's interviews lately, then you might agree with me. If not then you'll think otherwise. We have turned a corner in two ways. First, Coach G realized recently that she actually had to coach this team differently than she had been doing all season. In doing so, this team realized that they actually have the ability to beat any team in the Big12 if they actually show up with a 40 minute team effort.

We are peaking at a perfect time. Remembering that seven - yes 7 - of our players have either been redshirted or otherwise serioulsy injured since arriving at the 40 acres - this team took much more time to gel than any of us anticipated.

I doubt we lose to Tech. It wouldn't surprise me to get a second win. We have the ability for a third.

Of course, this is the team that beat Baylor and then lost to Colorado - so this post might as well read blah, blah, blah cause anyting could happen with this group!

Come on Horns. Shock the hell out of your opponents and all of us fans!!!! Sweep the thing!

imo at this point we are playing for seeding. winning the last three contests should be enough for an ncaa invite, though i know some feel we need at least one win in the big12 tourney to guarantee a bid. my question is, given our record, how much movement in terms of seeding will we see if we have a successful big12 tourney? if we make the final or win the championship, how much will our seeding improve?

Most brackets have us at a 10 seed, which means we play a 7 seed and, if we win, we meet a 2 seed in the 2nd round. If we work our way up to an 8 or 9 seed, we'd have the privilege of playing a 1 seed in the 2nd round. We'd have to work up to a 6 or 7 seed to play a 2 or 3 seed in the second round. Of course, theoretically a better seed makes our first round game easier, but I wouldn't mind taking our chances with the underdog status. Seems to suit us well.

Wherever we end up, let's hook' em!

A nice run in the tournament woud be great, but we probably have a good chance in the NCAA even if we are one and done...knock on wood.

This is going to be a crazy tournament because at any given time any of the top seeds can be knocked off by a lower seed. I think a #4 - #8 seed wins the tourny. It's just been one of those years. Now of course I want UT to win but it wouldn't surprise if a lower seed makes it to the championship game and goes home with the hardware.

Here's hoping that it's the Longhorns. Hook'em Horns.
