With our *cough* fine performance on Wednesday, we have stumbled into the #6 seed for the Big 12.

Presuming we get past whoever loses the battle for the #11 seed (Tech, Mizzou, Sluggo and Nebraska all have the potential to end at 5-11), we would take on the #3 seed.

Both Baylor and aggy are 11-4 going into their final game against each other, so the winner gets the #2 and the loser gets the #3 seed.

Am I crazy for wanting Baylor to fall on Saturday so that they become our second round opponent if Texas took care of business on the Thursday first-round game? I just don't look forward to another match-up early with aggy, although it is clear that all roads will lead through them whether it is the second round or the semi-finals (third round).
 
I haven't heard...what did the MRI reveal for Wilson? Is she out for the season or was it just a sprain?
 
Baylor will lose w/o DW....
And I cringe to think of the Aggy winning 3 times in one year against us......just unacceptable....

I expect Baylor to lose to A&M. I think the Horns will face the LBs in the second round. Now, the first round opponent is going to depend on Saturday's results as the four teams that could end up there will be playing among each other. Tech and OSU have split their games as have NU and MU. If MU beats Tech and OSU beats NU, all four will have 5-11 records and thank god I don't have to figure out who is ranked where. That's what computers are for.

I don't know than any of the four are an easy matchup if the Horns don't play better than in the last couple of games. They continue to play that way, we will be lucky to see they play in game two. If they are playing as they did during either the five game or the two game winning streaks, I'm not worried until they reach the semis.
 
looks like we will match up with Missouri. Right now, they are in 11th and even if OSU loses and ends up tied with them, OSU has beaten them and owns the tiebreaker so OSU would be seeded 10th and Missouri 11th.

I like this set up for the Horns in the Big 12 tournament. I think it's the easiest route to the final game for us. While nothing's a given, espcially with this team, all teams that we play or potentially could play are teams that we match up well with.
 
thanks for the schedule babhorn. i'm good with this set up, too. i will take Iowa State over A&M in the 2nd round any day (assuming of course we beat Mizzou, which is not a given). just gotta keep playing and fighting like we did in the last 15 minutes of the OU game.
 
updated bracket -- the times have been changed for Thursday's games. **Texas vs. Missouri is now at 5:00 pm

Thursday’s first round games have been adjusted to avoid conflicts with institutions’ men’s teams playing in quarterfinal action at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Championship.


Thursday's games will not be shown on TV, but you can watch them online at Big12sports.com for free.
 
Definitely like the draw...I never even noticed that ISU had a shot at the #3 seed.

For those travelling...pack warm. I just looked at the weather and they are calling for highs in the mid to upper 40's for Thursday and Friday with lows in the 30's. Glad I haven't put the winter stuff away just yet...

I, too, am satisfied with the way the tournament seedings played out. Go Horns and kick some Mizzou butts!!!
