Toshiba 57 in. HD-ready

I found this set for $1,299 on a two day sale at Conns. This seems to be a pretty good price, but I'm just getting started looking at these bigger T.V.s. Is this TV just crap or is this a great deal?

Not a bad deal on a 57", it is not the Cinema Series by Toshiba, but I do think that this unit is a floor model. I work for A&B TV and I shopped conns on Wed. and saw the TV. Toshiba give a very good bang for your buck with CRT rear projection TVs, they have one of the best stretch modes of the CRT rear projection and they also have one of the best line doublers as well. We sell the TV brand new for 1547.00 and an extended warranty for 5 years for 97.00. Make sure you check out the set really good and that there is no burn in on the screen. If I can help you out just email me at [email protected]

If it's the floor model then I am out. We noticed the screen seemed a little "warped" and the picture was not good. After seeing the same model somewhere else with a really good picture, I just chocked it up to floor model damage. I am going back tomorrow to see. The sales guy didn't seem to insinuate that is was only the floor model. We'll see. Thanks for the help.

I went back to Conn's to check it out. Then went to Best Buy and they matched the $1,299 price and had a cheaper 4yr extended warranty. BB's price was $1,899 so I think this is a great deal.
