Here's the link: USC Link

Brit could be a legit source with guys like Joe Schad from ESPN following her and Jason McIntyre from @TheBigLead retweeted it. Baylor friend says he's tripping in Waco this weekend. If true, does anyone know if we're on him? Anyone know if we're still in play on Hall?

To anyone in the know about TP:

Who were his top 3 before his commitment to USC? Is there any data on the street on who he is looking at? And do you know who is recruiting him for Texas?

Sorry for all questions and no information, but inquiring minds want to know.

Last summer, Prevot made his verbal commitment to USC over UT. I don't recall the other schools in the running at that time.

Rivals has him still as a USC commit. Notre Dame and TAMU appear to be currently interested.

From the above link, "Dan Smith - BYU". That's is hilarious!

99% he commits to A&M tomorrow. He cancelled his visit to ND and never went and had a great visit to CS a couple weeks ago.

Daeshon Hall is 50/50 between A&M and UW and announcing tomorrow.

A&M had a ton of mid termers that counted back as well as Griffin going JUCO and JJ Gustafson grayshirting as he is recovering from knee surgery. They actually have one more slot assuming Hall (now official) and Prevot but not sure if it gets used.

Have all signed their LOIs? Rivals is not showing any updates for A&M. Only showing the 9 early enrollees as signed. Looks like a big & talented class coming your way.

All signed. The Prevot switch was a shocker but with Hall it really makes it less painful. A&M needed a top end DE but 2 would have been nice. Very balanced class though with the highlights being the WR's and DL. Lots of 4 Stars and a few high 3's, not many reaches compared to past years.

The crazy thing is A&M has the #8 ranked class nationally which is only good enough for #5 in the SEC.

I agree completely that Stars are overrated. I always put them as no more than the 3rd most important thing to look at.

First to me is who the coaches offer early and aggressively target. It's hard to quantify this but it means the most to me when they are clearly the kids the coaches are most interested in. A great example to me in A&M's class is Alex Sezar. He is our lowest rated recruit and a 2 Star to some. That's only because he went to one camp (an A&M camp) and blew them away and was offered and committed immediately and shut it down. Kid is an early enrollee and at his first practice ran a 4.38. He also #2 in his graduating class.

The second most important thing is offer lists. If a kid is a defensive player with an LSU or a Bama offer that means something. If he is a WR or a QB with a USC offer that's also impressive. Those programs know talent at those positions.

Then come the stars.

Aggressor, I agree.

The Stars and individual rankings move all over the place. If a "Top" program offers an athlete, his ranking and stars often increase. If it is done late in the recruiting game, guys that committed early are often leapfrogged making it look as if they are falling down the list. All very arbitrary.

Who makes an offer probably indicates more than quantity. I don't really care if Wyoming or Syracuse offers a scholarship. I don't care if a player gets 50 offers. But in the end, you need to trust the coaching staff since they see more and know more than any of us recruiting fans. Plus, the players have to fit their systems. If recruiters fail repeatedly, they are gone!
