Congrats on the 25 game hit streak and new UT record. Pretty cool to witness the record broke/set.

He came inches away from an extra base hit earlier in that at bat but missed being fair by a few inches up the left side. Kept a cool head and then slapped a single between 2nd and 1st. Umpire had to be informed of the record, called timeout and Torres was given the ball. Pretty cool.

Is this getting any media attention? I remember Ventura from OSU getting notice when I lived in Houston, and he was around 20 somthing. What number did his run out at? 50 something?

Ventura finished at 58 games.

Ventura had a 24 and a 58 streak at OSU. Last year, Ty Wright of OSU had a 35 game streak and it hardly got any media attention outside of Stillwater. At the time, I think it put him 10th in the all-time NCAA list.
