the bar scene where goose was playing the piano w/ his son. I noticed a Kansas flag and a poster of Kansas city.

They were supposed to be in California. Bars in california don't have kansas themes.

Did they film parts of the movie in ks?

Down here (Buenos Aires) there is an "American style" steak restaurant called "KANSAS". It is supposedly pretty expensive and it is in a nice part of town. It's near the casino & horse track (which is actually in a good part of town).

My problem with "Kansas City" being considered "Kansas" is that the majority of the city "Kansas City" is in Missouri. And that's where all of the sports teams play. (Chiefs, Royals, Wiz/Wizards)

"I've been in KC for 8 yrs now. It seems KS people think MO folks are trash"

Ahhh, your comment touched on some of the longtime disrespect and hatred between Kansas & Missouri dating back to actual bloodshed during the American Civil War.

cant beleive hot shot flyboy gives up banging ho's in foreign countries and "settles" for top gun school so he can be forever in love w/ that ugly skank

fictional movies piss me off

something funny we do because of a scene in that movie. When my friends and I drive past small county airports riding our motorcycles, we do the fist pump in the air thing.

There is (or used to be) a "Texas" Cafe in Mountainview, CA. They had two Texas flags flying outside ... I had to go in and tell the manager that they were upside down (red panel up).

There's a bar called "The Alamo" in Dublin's "Temple Bar" district and then here in Buenos Aires we have "El Alamo". But I don't remember there being one in LA.

Im pretty sure that it the exact same thing as houstons here in the states...IIRC it isnt expensive. Id guess its part of the chain.

There's a Texas barbeque joint in Manhattan called Hill Country BBQ. The place is supposed modeled after Kreuz's. Any Horns in NY care to comment? $17.50 per pound for brisket = wow.
