Therefore, it is incomplete or incompetent.

Pitchfork is awesome and more often than not is pinpoint for suggestions for me.

well...their #1 is def my #1. fleet foxes LP is incredible.

I also really like the new deer hunter.

pitchfork is what it is...and yes, as mentioned above, they can be very wordy in their reviews.

ok...so on 2nd view, looks like they actually named the fleet foxes EP as the best of the year. I would disagree with that -- gimmie the LP.

I can't argue with much of their top10. I've been addicted to these:

Cut Copy (my #1)
Fleet Foxes
TV on the Radio
M83
Hercules and Love Affair

At pitchfork's rec, I checked out Deerhunter and Portishead. Both awesome. And, of course, Vampire Weekend received all kinds of pub this year. So, all told, 8/10 albums are very good. I saw No Age at SXSW and they're just not my thing.

I have enjoyed looking up some of the other albums (11-50).

Someone should organize a composite list of everyone's favorite albums this year. Say, 10 albums? Maybe a point system. Call it "Hornfans.com Top 10 Albums of 2008."
