I did my own crude scoring system based on how everyone did in the NCAA tournament. It is not very good on ranking the exact year, but I believe it is a good indicator over an extended period of time. The scoring system is 64 points for the winner and 1 point to the loser of the loser of the loser, etc. This system can be harsh for a team like Florida who got 1 point in 2004 (UConn won that year). I'll give you my list with the point value on the top 33, and them some numbers for teams of interest.

The big differences between mine and his are Florida, North Carolina and Syracuse.
But I do believe Duke should be the team of decade, because the first half of this decade, Duke was an extremely tough team.
