Top 25 as of 6/17 by ESPN's Katz

Any top 25 without the Texas Aggies is a bad top 25.

We have proved year after year that we belong in the top 25.

This guy is a joke if I have ever seen one.

Okie State was in the "Others Considered" category. That means four teams from the south will be fighting it out amongst each other (and A&M isn't that bad of a team either). Meanwhile, Kansas gets a pass with its north schedule.

A&M will be pretty similar to last years team. Maybe a bit better, maybe a bit worse depending on how a few players progress.

I think both are going to be solid players. I think Dashan Harris is going to end up starting at one of the guard spots, he guards guys and puts in the effort on defense and provided he can take some of that to the college level I think A&M is going to want another player with his type ballhandling skills on the court. (I don't think Holmes is ever going to be a Big XII starter level defender, and Roland even though he's a great defender, would be a liability with only one real ballhandler on the floor) Loubeau is kind of a mystery, I like what Ive heard though and if he is as advertised he would also address some weaknesses such as defending some of the quick/perimeter #4 matchups you see that killed us sometimes last year. We'll probably add another player in this class, but I suspect it won't be anybody who will contribute much this season. Probably a big man to develop.

We will defintely not be as good up front this year, but I suspect that Turgeon plans and will at least somewhat succeed filling that hole by going smaller and quicker for a large portion of games.

If that's true, it'll be interesting to see if Barnes starts a 3-guard lineup for us as well or if he tries to overpower with Damion/Gary and hopes that'll make up for them being outquicked...

Dashan Harris PG, great handle, 6', 180lbs, slasher in a Montverde Academy team that ran 3/4 of the time. Scout has him as a 3 star but could have been a mid 4star with no problems. strong lateral movement makes him a excellent defender. Good court vision , pass first PG can score when asked to. Good first step, crossover iffy at best. 3pt shot needs work, mid range jumper is getting better.

David Loubeau PF/SF combo more of a PF this last season. 6'8'' 225 or so, strong rebounder out of area. Back to the basket game is excellent due to his good footwork and quickness to a spot on the court. Good hands ,catches anything within reach. Nice J out to 15-16 ft can go high post low post without problems. Runs well, decent defender can beat people to the spot most of the time. I have seen this kid play at least 10 times in the last two years, his handle was better as a junior and he played the SF, grew into more of a PF. This kid can be better then J Jones by the end of his fresmen year. He is solid in the 4 slot.
