Tonight’s OK State game postponed

UPDATE: Saturday DH Scheduled (TexasSports.com)

Due to the threat of inclement weather today, Friday's Texas Baseball game vs. Oklahoma State will be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 30, beginning at 2:30 p.m., with the second game set to start 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Tickets to the regularly-scheduled Saturday game will be honored for both doubleheader games.

Single game purchasers (non-season ticket members) for Friday's game should contact the Texas Athletics Service Team at 512-232-4422 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) to arrange a ticket exchange for a future game or refund. No exchanges, returns, or refunds will be made at UFCU Disch-Falk Field ticket windows on gamedays.

Fans already holding tickets to Saturday's previously-scheduled game will be admitted to the newly-scheduled doubleheader by presenting their Saturday ticket. Season ticket members may redeem their Friday ticket for general admission ticket to any future Tuesday night home game.

Sunday's 1:30 p.m. game against Oklahoma State will remain as previously scheduled.

Inclement weather is anticipated throughout the weekend. Please visit TexasSports.com/bagameday for complete parking and traffic flow information, promotions, and other gameday updates.

Crap. I bought tix for tonight's game because I love the rare 7:00 starts. And the sun is out and the radar looks clear as I type. They may regret not trying to get that Game 1 in tonight...

Looks like the weather should be fine for Saturday and Sunday, but it also looks like they could have played tonight.

Kind of a strange decision, unless OSU didn't come into town till today. Going to be a long day tomorrow, with a short time till the Sunday afternoon game.

They sure made the announcement early, too.
If there's an upside, our Friday pitching hasn't been very good, so maybe they'll pitch better on Saturday...lol...cross-fingers.....
Double-headers, usually, help the home team, so that's a plus.

Tech beats TCU 7-3 in the first game of their series. Luken Baker did not pitch and will probably not pitch anymore this season, but will continue to be a DH/first baseman.

We need TCU to take the series...Thus if we swept OSU, we would be one game back of first. With TCU getting some stars back before the tourney, our only real chance of regionals is to win the regular season title. We need to win out or come close, and get some big help from TCU and Tech opponents the rest of the way.
