Magnificent performance tonight! Ninety-eight pitches, 66 for strikes, and -- most importantly -- no walks.

An outstanding effort. What a blessing to have him on this staff.

I'm just stoked! Great outing from Hunter, love how he has 4 pitches. We just can't seem to gain any ground. We are only 1.5 back in WC and the Angels are burying the Rays...

I always lurk on here, and when I clicked on, I knew there would be a Tommy F'n Hunter thread. Sorry for the slow response, but thanks for reading my mind.

Tommy is such a shot in the arm with the Padilla fiasco. If we just throw strikes, and win series, we are good.

Sucky thing is, Im stuck in Denver for a long while and have season tickets. The one season that I want to see and I cant be there. Yall better represent for me.

On the postitve side, at least I get to watch the horns in Wyoming. Gotta always look at the bright side.

Tommy WAS a little shaky in the first, but he was absolutely nails after that. ERA down to 2.26.

Shadowdancer and I are celebrating our 24th anniversary at the ballyard Monday and I can hardly wait! This team is just so much fun to watch.

I wonder what the starters ERA is since the all-star break? Has to be very low.

Also, Hamilton seems like he is back.

Saw most of the game while out to dinner tonight - but left in the 8th. Came home and watched the whole thing. Gotta love "Big Game." How many freaking shutouts can the young guys throw - and with a low pitch count - never mind that there was a SO thrown against us last night.

Rooting for a rip thru Cle tomorrow morning and then tear the Sawx a new one over the weekend - at least taking over the Wild Card lead.

Omar's squeeze was wonderful...and haven't you had at least a tiny, tincy little bit of a thought that VIzquel performed better in the lineup than Kinsler? Shame on me.

And a GREAT BIG welcome back to Hambone. The boy's stroking it...if you know what I mean, and I think you probably do.

Hook'em!!!

Hunter, Holland and Feliz show potential for a tremendous starting rotation. You keep the veterans Millwood and Feldman and fill in for injuries with Harrison, Hurley or McCarthy (assuming any of these guys ever get and stay well) and you may have the best starting pitching in the league for 2010. Of course, a lot can happen to a pitching rotation. Bizarre thing is the crew the Rangers started with has been worse than decimated. Millwood is the only guy slated as an every fifth day starter in April still pitching regularly in the major leagues. Benson, Padilla, McCarthy and Harrison were the other four if I remember correctly.
