Tommy Blake?

He hasn't even been signed by any team as an undrafted free agent. Before the season he was thought by some to be a top 10 pick. Man is that a mind job or what? Remarkable how small the window is for these guys to make money. That E:60 report must have killed him.

i'm lost.. i missed that story? was he involved with tranny hookers or something like Renaldo? is he a fan of that sweet, sweet cheeba? please explain...

i can't believe i hadn't heard that, or at least don't remember hearing that. good luck to the man. hope he gets the help he needs and succeeds in life.

heard on NFL network today......he's getting a tryout or accepted to attend a Tampa Bay camp right now

It's not.

Blake had a lot of problems that were of his own creation, and have nothing to do with social anxiety disorder. Out of respect for LHG and the posting guidelines, I don't want to attack Blake or post rumor. However, if you do a little research on the time line of Blake leaving camp, some other suspensions from the TCU team, and NCAA drug testing guidelines, you can probably connect the dots.

Extra large, good point. It is funny that everyone talks about Blake and nobody posts about the OL suspended for undisclosed reasons while Blake was first away.

Right. There was the O-lineman who the coaching staff decided to just give a year off from football. That's not strange at all. Then there was the other all conference DL who popped for steroids. That was the same test that happened the morning Blake left camp. He was not warned about the test though, remember. The coach made sure to put in the press that Blake did not even have a cell phone. How can he be tipped off about a drug test if he does not have a phone?

That's all public record, and 100% coincidence.

not related to tommy, but does anyone remember barrett robbins from tcu? he was bipolar or something like that and didnt show up for the superbowl when oakland was in it. i don't think he's played since.

strange that two high profile mental illness stories would come from the same school.

If he can get his psych issues under control, he could be a real gem for someone out ther willing to give him a shot. The fact that he's getting his degree is promising too. Really shows his character. Wiish him all the best.

It takes character to go back to school for free after you have thrown away millions of dollars by running out on your team to avoid getting in trouble?

ExtraLarge, there's no doubt that Blake is a hard-working kid. 235# HS RB, and two years later at TCU he's 275# and ripped. Obviously he's a hard worker.

Yea, their S&C program has been working that kind of magic for a while.

Most of their football players have to minor in chemistry just to keep up with the workouts.

Vess was the DL that was suspended by TCU for the year for violating team rules the same week Blake went missing. That's one hell of a team rule that gets you suspended for a year, without any announcement of what it was for, but still keeps a player in the team's plans for the next year.

It shows you that the local media will parrot the TCU line, and the state media doesn't care. Can you imagine if that happened to a Longhorn?
