We did the Tokyo Steakhouse thing last weekend, on Saturday night. Had a reservation at 8:00, got seated around 8:30. It seemed that the restaurant management was a little overwhelmed by the crowds ... I talked to people at the bar that had been waiting for 1.5 hours already. There was also only one bartender working, which made tough work of getting a drink. That said ...
What a show! Our chef, "Easy", was a showman who jumped right into some off-color jokes. Could have spelt disaster if not for the fact that we were into the Sake already (and really fun people). He made us laugh all night. The sushi we had as an appetizer was good, but I"m a terrible judge of quality because raw fish is bait, not food. I had lobster and steak - the lobster was average (shrimp was much better), but the steak was some of the best I"ve ever had. Served in small pieces off the grill with a mustard sauce. Awesome. 9 out of 10. Fried rice cooked on the grill, fresh veggies, and ice cream for desert ... very cool place, very fun night.
FWIW, we spent about $50 each, for dinner and drinks - bottle of wine, bottle of sake, iced tea.
