Toilets

I'm sick and GD tired of having to resort to the plunger every time I take a dump. I have seen a toilet which claims it will allow you to throw away your plunger. I've seen one at Home Depot. Anyone have any experience with one of these setups? Are they as advertised? I'd appreciate any info.

Just get a port-o-potty.....you'll never have to use a plunger again.

Nasty topic, but I suppose **** happens...so to speak.

Quit putting half a roll of TP in there. Let the TP get completely wet before flushing. If that doesn't help, try flushing before putting any paper in the bowl. If it's a marathon session, consider flushing as the bowl fills.

If you have a cat, and use flushable litter, you may want to rethink that.

Also, pouring quick-rete down your toilet may sound like fun, but your house's plumbing doesn't like that.

Sounds like you may have some type of sewer line blockage. Does one toilet have the problem while others flush normally? Does the bath/shower drain quickly?

Everything drains well in the house, but all the toilets seem to have the same problem. I do use a lot of toilet paper (what can I say, I like to feel fresh), but I try to counter this by utilizing multiple flushes. The amount of paper in every flush does not appear as though it should clog the toilet...but it does. Quite the conundrum I must say.

Do you have the 1.6-gallon crapper, or the older ones (5-gallon)? If the former, that may be your problem. If you're really desperate, I'll sell you one of my old bad boys (ca. 1968) for top $$$.

But seriously...if your problem is not getting enough water to flush everything down, hold the flush lever down until your toilet sucks everything down. Otherwise, you've got a bigger problem on your hands.

Switch to the American Standard Champion. It can flush 24 golf balls at once, and it's a standard 1.6 gallon toilet. Very impressive.

Rice...that's the one I was referring to in my earlier posts. A very impressive-looking machine. I think I may have to get me one...I know that they have them at Home Depot.

Is the angle stop turned up for max water flow/pressure? Also, you may consider checking your water pressure, and turning it to max.

Water pressure does help it flush. Now that I think about it, is the valve done correctly? on most, there should be a little tube that squirts into a riser pipe when you flush. If that's not in the pipe, you aren't getting max flush power.
