Tennesssee trailed Rutgers 33-13 at the half in Piscataway.

Guess Rutgers started to celebrate too soon as Tennessee won 55-51. Biggest comeback in Tennessee history.

Absolutely amazing. I thought about recording that game, but decided against it....now i wish i had.

So, i've been reading a lot of articles about the turnaround in this game after halftime. Could it have been one of the greatest?? Maybe, but perhaps WE all remember the win against Baylor in the Big 12 tournament in March this past season. Down by 16 at the half, and win by 15 was even more amazing!! Also set the Big 12 tournament record for the biggest turnaround.

BTW, i tried to post a link about it but it didn't work. It's in the archives of the women's b-ball page on texassports under Ebay's blog....March 16, 2008.
Brings back memories of an awesome game!!!

the Baylor comeback was amazing! definitely one of my favorites

and i almost taped the Tenn/Rutgers game as well, but then i changed my mind (watching Rutgers play basketball kinda drives me crazy!). i checked the score during the UT game and it was 31-8 at that point. and i honestly thought ESPN was reporting the score wrong. i couldn't believe it.

Tenn went from setting the record for the lowest number of points scored in a half (13), to setting the record for the largest comback (20).

I think we may have just seen the maturation of a very young Tennessee team. They really dug deep and simply out hustled and out fought Rutgers in the second half. Stricklen is a straight out baller. That girl has all the skills. And Tennessee won that game without Baugh. That is the type of game that can establish the identity of a team.

Now, after watching LSU play with UCONN for most of the game, I am no longer of the impression that they are unbeatable.

I was amused at the prediction that Baylor would be in the Final Four. Don't get me wrong, I think Baylor is a good team, but not a Final Four team this year. I think that next year they will be right there at the top.
