im surprised nobody has posted this yet. I realize its only in a backup role and he still is dealing with injuries but its nice to see him come home.

TJ to spurs

Awesome. I hadn't heard so thanks for posting.

I'll always remember going to SA to see him lead us to the Final 4. So, pretty cool, that he has come back to SA.

It's not that I refuse to cheer for the Spurs. My head tells me that I should cheer for them. They seem like a reasonably good set of characters, and I live near SA. My heart has just never been in rooting for the Spurs.

I suppose if TJ were to be healthy, and Tony Parker were unable to play, then I might get more interested.

Anyway, props to TJ for making this far considering his physical handicaps of both size and his congenital spinal issues. Durant is the superstar, and I will always love him for how he represents not just The University but also the game of basketball. However, any success that Barnes ever has at UT (and I still think he still has it in him to get back to the Final 4) can be traced back to TJ committing to UT when few others in his position would have. It's in part because of TJ that we now get irritated at just an 8 seed compared to under Penders being content with a 10 seed versus the 4-letter word of Weltlich. Thank you TJ.

I would assume now that if he needed rehab or just playing time in general, he would be optioned to Cedar Park.

I was at the first game the Spurs played and have been a fan ever since. I think they have the classiest team in the NBA. The coach has no problem throwing our the garbage. Only team players allowed. They do tons of community service.Watching the news right now and TJ is talking to a bunch of kids at a bb clinic. Hope he makes a solid contribution this year.
Just my opinion.

Last night at the Spurs game, it was fun to see TJ and Corey Joseph on the court at the same time. Wonder how many times two Longhorns have played on the same team at the same time in NBA? Can't be a whole lot.

Didn't want to start another thread, but I must say the Spurs were humming in the 2nd half against the Clippers tonight.
