Tivo-Dish Network Problem

I brought my Tivo home for the summer and can't get it to work with my folks' dish network. There is no such channel as 3 or 4 on the Dish Network, meaning I can't set it to one of those channels which means the IR hookup won't work. Is there any way to add a channel that the Dish doesn't recognize or am I just screwed?

Maybe I don't understand the issue, but 3/4 is for your Tivo's coax output channel. I'd use s-video if possible.

[dish]---[dish receiver]---[tivo]---[television]

It may be obvious, but you will need to set up the Tivo's IR blasters to control the Dish receiver.

That's what I thought. On the screen, it said make sure my satellite box is tuned to channel 3 and that threw me. I got it working, thanks.
