TIVO and Rabbit Ears

Have a co-worker who lives in Round Rock and uses rabbit ears, not cable/dish. She doesn't think TIVO is a compatible technology, and I said it is and she needs to get one for her husband. Anyone record to the TIVO from over-the-air transmissions?
