Wow... its infused with lemons, garlic, peppers, and all sorts of other things. This on the rocks might be my new favorite drink.

Tito would approve of this thread.

Infuse it with star dust and see what happens.

His success with this line of vodka is inspirational.
And he is a hell of a friend.

I do believe that he reads these boards as well.

I once had a client who was the ex-wife (and I mean from a long way back), of his national sales rep, a guy named Joe. Really good guy, and always helping her out, even though they lived in separate states.

Anyway, my client could be at times....well, let's say, rather "difficult." But he was always there for her, it seemed.

Her ex-husband seriously ought to be nominated for sainthood.

The National sales rep you speak of is Joe Herpin. The story you tell is on the money. He is a hell of a guy. He stood by his wife through thick and thin. Did you know he used to be a semi- pro baseball player, though those days are long gone.

I would know.......My name is Jeff T, and I WAS THE DISTILLER at Tito's who made the VODKA that won the Double Gold Medal at the San Fran Spirits Festival, I distilled it, mixed it, bottled, it, and got it ready to send. Then I had to convince Tito to send it, as he didn't want to. Now that it won, Tito takes all the credit. He refused to pay me a decent wage, so I had to leave. I lived at Tito's house and at the Distillery for two years, while I helped him grow when he had nothing. When I met Tito, he was selling about 800 cases A YEAR! I marketed, distilled, bottled, lived and breathed Tito's with the promise from Tito that, when he got rich, I would also. That is BS. I know many many stories about Tito and his startup that I will probably never tell.

Anyone who was there trying to help him in the beginning is gone, forced out by Tito, who has the whole egg for himself now. Do me a favor, and drink Tanqueray Sterling instead. This Vodka tastes like Tito's, but for less money. Or drink ANY other Vodka.

The reason the Vodka was different when I was there? I was there, tasting the Vodka during the distillation, and distilling at a slower rate to allow the heads to come off completely before switching to the other barrels. It will NEVER taste like it did before. The original distiller, and I, are long gone.

The "infused" vodka you speak of is just vodka with, say, garlic, or jalapenos stuck in it and allowed to sit until the flavor "fuses" with the vodka. It ain't magic, but it does taste good. I like my vodka with pineapple juice, personally. If you haven't done it, try it. Party on.

No, unfortunately, I didn't make the Rose Bowl. Looking forward to Texas Football next year. Why can't football last all year?? Hook em.

No paragraphs needed. We all read the story 2 weeks ago when he posted the same thing in Esthers.

Hung out with Tito on the flight out, the tail gate and a few after parties with he and a bud, I thought his name was "Jeff".

Sorry about him treating you like that.

That is pretty ******, if that is how it went down.

Ok, I'm shutting my pie hole for now.

mrjefft, if you do start a new distillery, please be sure to let us know. I'll be happy to try out your product.

That is true, however, I am the only person in the world who was there when Tito needed help. I came up with the idea to put Tito's on the bicycle cabs downtown. I helped Tito in every aspect to make his brand recognizeable. I introduced his Vodka to probably 100,000 people personally. I did interviews for him. I covered for him while he cheated on his girlfriend.

I gave Tito's to Willie Nelson, Rachel Hunter, Dennis Quaid, Jamie Foxx, Oliver Stone, and many more. I set up a meeting for Tito to meet Governor Rick Perry.

I went to the State School with Tito, and helped him determine the pricing of his labor by racing handicapped children at labeling bottles. (they didn't win). I spent every day and night building his business, either distilling, or marketing.

So, when it comes to Tito's Vodka, I know what I am talking about. If I wasn't there when I was, Tito would still be a small business, not the successful businessman you see.

I think it is great Vodka, but, for 99.99999999999999% of the world, you are just fans.

Anyway, enjoy life, it is too short, and so are midgets.

You sure you weren't at the Rose Bowl in '05?

Did he have some other "distiller/marketer/friend" back then?

Lanky guy, dark hair?

Said he also set up a lot of "out patient health care clinics" or something.

could have sworn it was "Jeff"
