They signed Simms instead of Joey Harrington and Quinn Gray? i like Simms but i thought Gray was supoosed to be pretty good? Joe Horn, Reche Caldwell...arn't these guys better than what they have?
I think this will also help VY a lot. Get a friendly face at the same position who can talk to him after every throw in practice and help him out. From what I heard Chris did a lot to try and help VY during Vince's freshman year
Great Simms is going to play lights out in 3 games and then we'll have another quarterback contraversy with 2 UT quarterbacks. And one will be named Simms.
i could see this turning into something special, long term
vince gets his cheese square, rides back in and takes the reigns from a good-job collins. he takes the titans to the playoffs, again, vince goes down with a tweaked hammy, in steps simms, wins a big one...
or a whole myriad of possible outcomes. above reversed. collins wins league mvp. we save q package for ou.
Tennessee officially has more former Longhorns on its roster than any other team. Minnesota has 4 while Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City have 3 apiece.
The amazing thing is that I actually have a life, a wife, and a real job ... and still I find time to research this.
i think this is a perfect fit. simms at texas went through the same **** vy is going through now. i think he is a more than capable backup, and a good mentor. during my time at UT i've never felt so bad as to be on a balcony at the gables and talking with my friend about how much we wanted major in rather then simms...and chris, kyle, and bo were right there hearing it. next apartment over..one up. And they still came by and were all cool as hell..and after hanging out w/ chris simms that night he had my eternal respect. i think, if anyone can teach vince, it's chris, based solely on the scaife relationship, and all the bulshit he dealt w/at texas.
