Dude, 44 psi?? I am suprised your tires haven't blown at that amount. 32 is about the standard for air in tires. Sometimes you go lower/higher depending on the weather. I have never heard of anyone going to 44 psi. You are cruising for a huge blow out. Manuals are made for a reason.

almost all cars have the recommended tire pressure listed on a sticker on the door frame... they usually list both warm and cold pressures for the tire..
