Do I tip a Licensed Massage Therapist when the massage was prescribed and part of rehab from surgery? The massage is in a medical office, if that makes a difference.

I would not, since it is in a medical office. If it were a hotel or spa...maybe, depending on the quality of service.

Thanks. That was what I thought, but it seems strange - best massages I've ever had. My thought is at the end of treatment (in 6 weeks or so) I will give a gift to show my appreciation.

A couple of years ago, after 14 weeks of physical therapy following re-constructive shoulder surgery, I sent my therapist and her assistant some chocolates (Longhorns from Lamme's). I also sent my therapist a very nice letter commending her work, which ended up in her company's news letter.

She's an ex Lady Longhorn V-ball letterman by the way.
