Tiniest Bar in Texas

It may not actually be the tiniest, but that's the name. Corner of 5th and Bowie (one block east of Lamar). Small building with a good-sized deck and a really simple sign that says "Tiniest Bar in Texas - Happy Hour All the Time" or something to that effect.

I live down the street and have been there a couple of times. Cool place to sit outside and have a beer on a nice evening (not like Austin is lacking for those). Owners are really nice guys. Crowd has been pretty good lately, even on weeknights.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has checked it out.

Also, my friends all have theories about the man/woman/figure crouching on the rooftop. I've asked one of the owners and a bartender about it, but they're remaining mysterious about its meaning.

Art, ask & ye shall receive...

A GC that I do some roofing sub contractor work for was the Gen-C on that place. I called him & he said:

-Statue was built by the Dad of one of the owners.
-Statuary ("art") is made of mattress foam (maybe egg crating materiel?... I didn't ask deeper) with some sorta shellacking or acrylic on the outside of it.
-Has been nicknamed "The Dive" by the regulars (or the 'tenders; he didn't say who named it such) because it looks like the 'person' is diving into 5th.
-For sale: $ 5,000.00.

So, there you go.

Some friends of mine and I went last night after the ARC Angel's concert. I like the patio. They didn't have cash in their register so they couldn't make change for anybody... which meant they were having to turn people away (no CCs I guess).

We had enough $1s $5s and $10s between the 4 of us to make it work for a couple of rounds.
