Unbelievable.

How provocative. Criticize and ignore the peaceful Tea Party protests; exalt and praise a movement full of deadbeats, rapists, druggies, 60's burnouts, socialists and communists.

I don't think they were Tea Party Protests, they were Rallies, big difference. One wants to ***** and moan, with no solutions, and the other is gathering to effect change in a democratic way with solutions.

Typical. This is really about the left wing media's love of the occutards. They threw the arab spring stuff in there just to cover their obvious bias.

I know that over reacting and jumping to conclusions is par for the course around here, but this isnt just about the occupy protests. Spin the globe around to take a peak at what happened with protests in other parts of the world and then decide whether or not this was as horrible a choice as you say it is.

Egypt has been turned over to the Muslim Brotherhood. Many of the other "Arab Spring" countries probably will as well. The OW people are doing nothing more than trampling on the rights of locals who have businesses to run, costing taxpayer money, spreading diseases, preventing locals from using parks and public spaces and leaving huge messes for others to clean.

I really don't see where the glorification from Time arises.

Their choice is not always based on benefit to mankind. Look at some of their past choices. There can be little doubt that protest has been a big story this year around the world.

Maybe next year's choice will be the knee-jerk parrot.

actually, who gives a ****. Time magazine is a relic and a joke. POY has about as much relevance as who get inducted in the rock and roll HOF

And yet the 6,7,8 year olds at my kid's public school are compelled to read a version of TIME magazine every week as part of their grade. The Link

Time to protest the use of TIME to AISD and to step up deprogramming my kid to include TIME for KIDS.

the protesters in the ME and here made news because the media promoted and championed them. the fact that they were islamic radicals in the ME and communists here...I mean...warriors for a better wage....did not discourage the positive message of the movement, regardless of how many robberies, rapes, or destruction of private property occured. the agenda is clear and they helped package and create it, so why not make it the person of the year. they probably should have just put the media as the person of the year. they have done a great job of propoganda this year not seen since the 1930's.

Let's see what those "protests" in the ME produce in the next few years and see if BHO is still "down for the struggle". TIME WAS making a statement of support but tried to hide it as "objective"---yeah right!
