Waiiiit.. am I the only one, what the hell is going on here?

I've heard people talk about Roschon Johnson and there seems to be campers on both sides.. some say he's got a chance, others say he's ok and talk about his bad 40 time and such.

Yo, his junior film is low key the best and most exciting highlight tape I've seen in a few years. I really don't think a QB jumped off the page like that to me since maybe Deshaun Watson's and all the way back to Vince Young at Madison and I've watched a tonnnnnn of film for QB's. WHY THE HELL IS THIS GUY NOT A TOP 5 QB IN THE COUNTRY?

No, seriously. I want a legit answer? Does he not go to camps or something, did he have a bad showing in a 7on7 setting.. like, I'm no pro scout but I know beasts when I see him and I legit can not tell based solely on his film why this man amongst boys isn't a 5 star recruit and hold an offer from every team in the country.

What the hell is going on? Oh you don't believe me? Give me one QB's HUDL from the 17 to 19 classes that looks more sick than this dudes:

I think I am in agreement. The kid looks outstanding I mean outstanding on film course we didn't see his bad throws but he did look like an All-Star very accurate on this throws whether they're deep or whether they're short and he can run like a deer and cut on a dime I like the kid. Herman needs to hold on to him. Go give his mom a kiss on the cheek and and a trip to golden corral once a month til NSD. Oops that last part might be a violation.

No, like.. If Ehlinger holds on to the position this year.. I don' think Rising or Thompson ever see the field here lol maybe ever is a stretch but I think RJ is light years ahead of both of those guys like.. Right now.

DFW,

I have seen him play live. He has garnered interest from dozens of schools, including Jimbo at both A&M and FSU. He is allowed to change plays and/or call his own play at the line. Faircloth sends in a couple of recommendations, and RJ chooses or changes.

He is a good student from a good family. He is a leader on and off the field.

Negatives:

1) He is skinny, yet runs with power and seldom falls backward.

2) He scored too early against Nederland and left too much time on the clock. In the Crosby game, he admitted that he could have scored on second down, but wanted to run the clock down.

I don't know what is on the highlite link, but if you want to be impressed, watch the Port Arthur game (PNG was down by 17 twice) and the Crosby slugfest, in which he was inserted at DB on Crosby's last possession. Nederland game was also impressive. Those three games and the College Station game will prove his leadership skills and how tough he is.

Graduated from PNG. Roschon is legit. Offers from all over the country. And he is definitely not skinny up close. I think the only question mark is can he be accurate enough consistently at the college level. He's one of the best dual threat QBs in the country no doubt.

I'm glad you mentioned accuracy.. cause that's the one thing that's hard to tell consistently in a highlight tape. Because it's a highlight tape you don't get to see the bad throws. However, at least on his tape.. he looked accurate on every three levels, short, intermidate and deep post patterns in such. Someone mentioned he didn't really see the deep out and i'll admit he may not have a Matt Stafford cannon.. but he looked great throwing the ball to me. Are there times he gets erratic in games?

Yeah, I think when a player is so good one of the only negatives that you can say about him is that he's too raw that he scored too fast is pretty promising. Somehow I think Herman can manage that kind of "impetuousness" LOL.

DFW,

It was Nederland vs Port Neches for the 95th year. You score when you can. The defense could not stop Nederland's offense when it counted. Roschon brought the Indians back to take the lead, but the defense didn't hold. That is not RJ's fault.

Question can be raised if Nederland pulled a "Warren Trahan" on Faircloth, but I would dispute that.

As for his accuracy, my observations are that his accuracy is better than VY was at this age. RJ had a 6'6" WR, who bailed him out at times. I wish RJ could play with Collin Johnson. Those two would be lethal together.

I can see Eagles and RJ being a lethal pair. I admit Eagles impressed me with those one handed catches.

With his passing, he reminds of Warren Moon. Just throws pretty and accurate passes.
