Time for Mack to quit pamering Chiles

it appears the Chiles #2 qb slot is just to keep him from transfering. this now looks like a disaster coming should Colt have even a minor injury. Harris should be getting the snaps in case we need a backup qb to salvage a game or 2. Chiles does not seem to have the decision making savvy of a qb. either change positions, be happy at #3 qb, or transfer somewhere where he thinks he can play. If the best argument otherwise is "in Mack we trust" please try harder. Every coach makes numerous decisions which he later would like a 'do over', and I firmly believe this is quickly becoming one of those for Mack. lets not pretend he has not had his share. sometimes it's better to let the bird fly (if it doesn't cme back it wasn't yours anyway)bla bla

I don't think it's so much pampering as giving Chiles a chance to play what he wants to play, and that is QB.
He just isn't fulfilling that obligation. Sure he has gotten better in his passing ability, but after his performance Saturday, there has to be questions in Mack and Greg's head about whether or not Chiles needs to continue where he is or moved to another position that would benefit him and the team.
What I did not like at all about Chiles Saturday was that he showed his anger. Sure he was upset, but contain it until you get to the sideline. That is DEFINITELY NOT a sign of maturity if you ask me. To me, he is not QB material. Yes, he has the speed and athleticism, just not at the QB position. And seriously, once GG makes it to the 40 acres, he can very well kiss it goodbye. Something needs to be done and soon! I don't want him to transfer, nor do I wish anything bad on him, but I just want him to realize that some times we aren't what we think we are. I just realized that for myself, maybe Chiles can too!

Yes I completely agree. Pamering someone is never good for them.

In related news, Mack should stop Pampering Chiles. Thank you.

I think it is becoming readily apparent that Chiles is not a great fit at QB. Mack and GD have given him a shot and even let him toss the ball around. He has looked pretty good throwing, but not starting QB at a top 10 school good. He needs to be moved and he needs to stop dancing so much with the ball. Find a seam and run like hell.

Haven't seen this mentioned to many times but has anyone else noticed that when Chiles runs he holds the ball out just begging somebody to swat it out of his hands? I haven't been a fan of Chiles and I do not foresee him ever being a starter here at Texas. I wouldn't even start him at WR until he can show that he knows how to secure a football.
