When I saw this thread title I literally laughed out loud... mainly because right after the game, one of my first thoughts was "take THAT, Tiki!"... God, that dude was just too much of a ***** after he left the Giants.

And you know the first thing outta his mouth on The Today Show will be something like...."I am SO HAPPY for my old teammates and coaches, blah, blah, blah". He should just be hoenst and say, man this really sucks that I jumped ship. He sucks.

I don't think he really cares too much. He will be able to walk in his 40s and still make **** loads of money. Part of him will wish he won a Superbowl but he just did not feel it any longer. He left when the iron was hot for what he wanted to do which was broadcasting. Good for him. I am sure a lot of athletes in the past wish they would have left the game sooner than they did.

I could care less what Tiki thinks or does not think.

Tiki and Jeremy Shockey. both called out Tom Coughlin for having no leadership and never being a winner, both idiots get removed from the roster, Superbowl. ownage

Tiki is a smart guy with many diverse interests. His entire life isn't wrapped up in football.

Watch this month's Real Sports on HBO about former pro football players and how their lives fall apart after leaving the game mainly because football was their entire identity or their health goes to ****.

Tiki will never be either of those.

Tiki was on 'Morning Joke' errr, I mean 'Joe'....anywho, Joe indirectlly asked about the naysayers from earlier this year and Tiki as you would expect has rehearsed and polished all the combacks....Joe then played it easy as they polish each others knobs regularly on the show.

Tike may be a great guy to some, but lets face it...he threw quite a few people under the bus in order to generate a publicity stir for himself when he launched his book and started with NBC. He's a slimeball.

The fact of the matter is that Tiki was a great teammate when his team was winning, but was poison in the room when his team was losing. The Giants ended the regular season much as they did last year, winning only four of their last eight. This team, however, was able to turn it around whereas last year's was not.

I am convinced that part of the meltdown last year was due to Tiki, and his absence was a necessary, but not sufficient, factor in the Giants' postseason turnaround this year.

Mikeinthebox is exactly right. It's no coincidence that the giants are so much better after removing the malcontents. Even if they were both pro-bowl level talent.

Hell, Shockey wasn't even on the sidelines. Has that ever happened before where an injured player sits in a luxury box instead of standing on the sidelines with his teammates?

I think the Tiki - Eli problems were blown out of proportion. I'm not sure the Giants would have won with Tiki, but I'm just as unsure that if the playoffs were held again the Giants would even make the Superbowl. I do think that Tiki would not have hurt their chances.

It's not about Tiki's play, it's about his attitude. All he did was question Eli and Coughlin when he was there. Then he leaves and team and lectures Manning on his leadership skills from the safety of the studio. If he wasn't such a coward, he should have said it to Eli as a team mate, not as a studio "analyst".

Good, I am glad to know that I am not brainless if I disagree with you. Malcontents never help the team chemistry. We will never know if they would have won with them, but I say no.
You don't have slime balls undermining the coaches authority and go to the Super Bowl. They both have been "me" "me" boys there whole careers. Talent yes, but if I was the GM, I would say see ya.
