So she was asking for $1 billion in divorce settlement cash, I wonder what she had to settle for, what, a paltry sum of half that amount? She may have a few suitors.

I heard a report that the settlement was in the 100 mil neighborhood. She deserved more. He was a nothing before she came along.

I think she had to settle for less (if you could call $100 MM "less") because she wouldn't agree to being silent about any of the details of their marriage. She would have gotten upwards of $500 MM if she agreed to shut her mouth and not fork over the gaudy info for which gossip mags would pay heavily.

I'd go the same route if I was her. The money is plenty, and imagine the fun you can have talking about how you found the cell phone messages and selling the movie rights to Lifetime.

Tiger made his obligatory "closure" statement following the final divorce announcement - The Link. Doesn't look like he had anything new to say, but it should be interesting to read Elin's People article.

I think it was prudent for her to leave $400M on the table for the right to speak publicly and openly and clear her name. She's done so with a lot of grace and humility. I commend Elin. It also shows she cares more about her reputation and her family than money. Of course, Elin's integrity was never really in question here.

Tiger has so much money it shouldn't even matter to him, then you consider the fact that he is going to make more. Now he can go be the dog that he is and its "ok" since he is a he.

Just dont get married again for at least another 5 years.
