Tickets stamped not for resale

If I purchase tickets stamped like this, and I am not the original ticket owner, will I still be able to use this ticket? Are they seriously checking ID's to make sure you are the true owner?

If you did not buy them from StubHub or TicketCity, you should be okay. ID's will not be checked. Belmont told me that they are only monitoring those two resale platforms and don't care about Craigslist or transfers to "friends."

After Saturday's ND game, I think anyone that shows up at a game will be welcomed with open arms.

I hope they don't I gave my rice tickets away to a friend and hate to have them go that way for nothing. I can see id with club passes but game tix that's overkill

Patterson sux!!!

Just thought I'd beat someone else to the punch...

I'll be there. Going to the home games no mater what happens down the road. I hope it not another 1997 season though. Now THAT would really suck!

Just the fact that we're having to ask these questions is proof something is wrong with the policy. Also, with the large sample size, and the variety of possibilities of interpretation and the fuzzy boundaries of official policy vs unofficial enforcement, it's inevitable that somebody - someone with no ill intent, just a fan wanting to see Texas play - is going to get royally boned by it at some point. And when that happens, there will be 0 shits given by anyone responsible.

The volume of bad policies that keeps piling up is unreal. How can anyone question that this is bad for UT.

What is Patterson thinking? It seems nothing can deter this mission he is on to destroy everything that made college football at DKR an enjoyable experience.

I hope the powers (pun intended) that be are taking notice at what is happening. This first home game against Rice, when all these new policies go into effect, will open some eyes and more will complain, I'm thinking.

I think the stamp on the ticket is more of a scare tactic than anything else......How are they going to know if they were a gift or resold? Unless the bar code was altered or sold you will be ok. If they check your id, tell me they were a gift a work. The gate personnel are mostly students and they are not there to be confrontational.

**** me, I bought my ticket off of StubHub. :|

They are real nice on the west side. They are giant ***holes on the student side.... even to sober, not causing any trouble students.

Is this admonition new or has it been on prior year tix? I bought 4 Cal tix off of Stubhub. Can't believe they'd enforce....

In all of my Steve Dallas d-bag glory, I have told many people my theory about JerryWorld and tested it myself a few times. If you want to go somewhere at JerryWorld you are not supposed to be, walk with confidence. The people there are not paid enough to be interested in confronting anybody that may actually be a friend of Jerry's. If you can get past the initial ticket checkers and you know a buddy with a suite, leave the wife beater and Jesus sandals at home and odds are pretty good you will be sitting in the suite. It will work on the West side of DKR too. I have used Jedi mind tricks to get by the West Side ticket takers with a flask in my pocket by literally saying "You don't need to check my pockets."

I printed out my ticket today and it looks just like any other Texas Box Office print at home ticket....? Has my name on it as the account holder and everything.

Was definitely true when I was there and for a couple of years afterward when I made the mistake of getting guest tickets with friends who were still students.
