ticket: expired inspection

got a ticket; before I could get the vehicle inspected had car trouble, car has been in shop for almost two weeks, will pass inspection after fixed.

Deadline for contacting judge is 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, vehicle will be fixed sometime tomorrow. (Hopefully!)

Got a letter from an attorney, will take the case for $40. I wouldn't have to drive in to contact judge(postpone judgment) if I hire attorney, but I still would have to appear with attorney on 2nd date.

btw, mistake on the ticket, time mistake, ticket reads p..m, event was a.m.

also, maybe a 2nd mistake, the ticket reads "MVR expired",

MVI(motor vehicle inspection?) is left blank. My registration is current, I just failed to get the vehicle inspected.

40$ appears to be a waste of $ to me,( except to save gas going to jp court), or maybe the attorney could argue mistakes on ticket, and get it dismissed before having vehicle inspected?

dont know where you got ticket but if you call judge, they will sometimes just give you an extension if you ask.

I've gotten one of those once, and if you get the inspection and or registration renewal done within I wanna say 30 days from the citation date, you only pay I think $10-15. Been a long time so I don't remember exactly, but it went down similar to something like that for me.
