New idea for defense... just don't ever contest 3's when Battier is shooting. He's no good. Forget it.

The Thunder are on track to let Shane Battier single-handily beat them in the series. They simply refuse to put a man on him and contest his shots. It's now a game of horse, and he's not that bad.

Durant is taking over. The Heat were red hot in the 1st half, but couldn't maintain that high of a shooting percentage in the 2nd half. KD is such an humble guy for being a superstar. Nice kid that just lets his play on the court do the talking.

Durant owns the 4th quarter. I can't count this team out anymore. How many deficits has this team come back from in the playoffs? I think they like playing from behind and they seem so fresh in the 4th. I guess it helps when the average age for this team is 23. lol

Anybody else suprised to see Miami seemingly getting tired out there late in the game. I expected it against SA and that is why the Thunder beat them. They pushed tempo and late in games and late in the series SA just ran out of gas and stopped making the shots they were making early in games.

But Miami just wasn't getting back on D and wasn't running hte court like they needed to. I don't know if this is news to the league but nobody is going to slow down the Thunder. So they better start running.

Did anybody watch or listen to the post game interviews with Lebron James and KD?

KD's tone was all about team and how he is just taking what his team is giving him, I kept hearing team team team.

James' tone was about him and Wade. My team was able to get me and Wade some breathers here and there.....

Maybe I am a little biased but give me Durant and his attitude everyday of the week. He is quickly moving up my list of favorite Longhorns.

Bill - just don't start planning the victory parade yet.
(hope you're right though)

HOOK 'EM,

When KD slammed one home on one of the Heat turnovers, Bosch was the only one who got back to contest the shot and the look on his face was total frustration.

I think Wade is more hurt than he is letting on. Either that or he has stopping caring about the game. There's no way Derek Fisher should be able to dribble downcourt faster than Wade can run.

Just because I have such disdain for Ego James I would wet my pants if OK beats them. A total difference in team attitude. The Thunder general manager worked for the Spurs and I see a lot of similarity in the team first attitude.
Keven is a special player and I hope to see him on the court for many years.
Go Thunder Go

Blowing my mind today are listening to comments from various places on ESPN's daily talk shows, including Around the Horn, etc... of how easy Druant makes it look, and how hard LeBron has to work. For shots.

Durant comes down and asserts himself and finds a spot and shoots. LeBron looks like he's making a huge effort to hold up the entire planet and throw it into a new orbit. KD glides down and does is thing. Lunches a 25 ft Three, or steps up, passes to someone for a dunk, or pulls up on an easy 2, or glides to the side and makes what looks like an impossible shot, then ambles back down the court.

By the way, only three or four players have ever scored 17 in the 4th quarter of a Finals. Saw the stat on the screen today but can't remember it in detail.

I pretty much knew when I was watching the Spurs/Thunder series that it was the finals. I am going to crown OKC at this point. Miami won't just fade away but I saw nothing in game 1 that makes me think they can play well enough to beat OKC in 4 of the next 6 games with 3 of those being played in OKC.

It is goig to be fun to watch still and I want to see how Lebron rebounds and takes defeat if it comes his way.

KD reminds me of Dr. J but with a deadly outside shot.

Both just smooth, lanky, long arms.....

Dr. K

I need to call him and get it copyrighted asap!!!
