AUSTIN, Texas — Three Texas football players tested positive for COVID-19 during its Sunday testing, a source close to the situation told Horns247.
A source said the team had scheduled the day off from practice Sunday before the team did it's COVID-19 testing.
If that's the case, it proved convenient, because three players ended up testing positive when the team went through its Sunday COVID-19 testing, the source said.
It's undetermined at this point how the positive tests will impact the rest of the team or the Longhorns upcoming game next Saturday at Kansas.
Texas (6-3, 5-3 Big12) beat Kansas State 69-31 in Manhattan, Kansas, Saturday.
